What women don’t need more of is confusion. With all the influencers and social media frenzy about menopause, women are becoming increasingly confused. They are also feeling shamed and dismissed. There is more than one way to navigate this phase of life. We are all different, with unique experiences—not just with symptoms but also with our lifestyles, ethnicity, culture, and upbringing.

There are no “hacks” to becoming healthy during the menopause transition. We aren’t built that way. Our bodies are composed of systems that work together. Our bodies don’t function in segments, so claiming that one thing will change your life is misleading and ultimately disappointing. We deserve better than that.

I consider myself a SELF-CARE Professional. With my 34 years of experience, all my knowledge and education, I have the expertise to help women adopt a healthy lifestyle during this challenging time. Some make it sound easy or make us believe we are doing something wrong, but the truth is we just need someone willing to listen, allowing us to be heard, support us, and guide us along a path that we know we should be taking.

I have obtained certifications in positive psychology and active listening. This is important because most coaches lack these skills. It’s crucial to have someone who can listen, understand, empathize, and follow through with a plan that allows you to thrive.

I recently received my Diploma in Natural Nutrition with a Certificate of Merit, solidifying my status as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. I’m also currently working on my Menopause Coaching Specialist Certification, enabling me to truly specialize in helping women through the menopause transition and the aging process.

I support women’s right to choose. If they need to use HRT to help with symptoms and health concerns, I believe that is a good choice. If you can’t take HRT or choose not to, you have the right to be supported outside of medicine. Either way, it’s essential to focus on nutrition, exercise, and habits. It’s important to have our bodies functioning optimally, as if we weren’t receiving medical help.
